Cumbria Strategic Final
Cumbria Strategic Area Board held their Company Programme finals on 29th April at Carlisle Racecourse.

County Champions for 2010 were Teenage Scribbles from Netherhall School from West Cumbria sweeping the board with the Best Trade Stand, Best Company Report and Best Presentation and will go on to represent Cumbria in the North West finals on 22nd June at Manchester United Football ground.

Teenage Scribbles consists of 6 students and have set up a publishing house for young authors and published a book written by one of their members Fiona Money called Firebreather!

Smart Heart from The Nelson Thomlinson School were runners up with their "Spin and Move" exercise game for children.

Other awards on the night were:

The Quality Award presented by Brian Hetherington from BAE went to LOL from Dallam School

Student of the Year presented by Moira Swann, Director of Children Services at Cumbria County Council went to Emma Pearson from Smart Heart from The Nelson Tomlinson School.

Company Programme Adviser of the Year presented by Richard Rankin from Armstrong Watson Accountants went to Allyn Davies who supported Laborare from St Bernard's Catholic High School.

The staff and volunteers from the Cumbria Strategic area would like to wish Teenage Scribbles good luck in the North West Final.
